To Remove an Attribute from the Global Attribute Set of a Job Default

The Remove Global Attribute command is used to remove an attribute from the set of global facilities attributes that make up a particular job default. This command is accessed from the Job Default menu of the Job Default Assistant.

When you remove an attribute from the global attribute set of a job default, the Workflow Manager removes the attribute and corresponding value from all feature definitions containing the attribute unless the feature attribute value is overriding the global attribute value-that is, unless the feature has been individually defined with a different value for that attribute.

  1. From the list of job defaults in the Job Defaults view, double-click the job default to open it in the Job Default Assistant.
  2. Or right-click the item and select Job Default Assistant from the shortcut menu.
  3. Click the Global tab and then double-click the folder of the commodity type that you want to edit.
  4. Select the global attribute that you want to remove and choose Remove Global Attribute from the Job Default menu or click the Remove Global Attribute button on the Standard toolbar.
  5. Or right-click the attribute and choose Remove Global Attribute from the shortcut menu.
  6. Click Yes to confirm the deletion. Note: You can also remove global attributes from the job default by selecting the Add Global Attribute command to open the Add/Remove Global Attribute dialog box and then clearing the check boxes of attributes that you want to remove.
